I thought I would share another mineral found the other day from the Prince Regent mines area, less than a kilometre from home.
This is one of a number of specimens of arsenopyrite. A geological report states that where it occurs in the absence of quartz and pyrite, arsenopyrite is highly auriferous (that is, contains a fair percentage of gold!).
Photo width is 11mm and made from a stack of 90 images.
