I got to go out collecting today. A nice birthday present 😁
It was a lovely late Autumn day with plenty of sunshine after a cool start (there was a bit of a frost). We drove off to the Trentham area and found the road cutting I was looking for. The basalt rock was fairly weathered, but I still managed to find some with intact crystallisation.
Then off to the bakery at nearby Kilmore for coffee and a little mini cheesecake. Yum.
