I picked one drawer at random and selected a specimen.

This is what came out. An ilvaite specimen from the Laxey Mine, Owyhee Co., Idaho, USA. It measures 43x32x28mm. And it was once in the late great John Sinkankas Collection.

Interesting to note that his description says “A fine sharp d.t. xl 3/4″ on matrix”. It is sharp. It is double-terminated (“d.t.”). It is not 3/4″ long (about 19mm). It measures only 8mm. Maybe 3/8″ might have been what he meant to add.
