I was out in the back garden today and heard the unmistakable sound of Black Cockatoos approaching. Normally, we see flocks of about three to nine individuals. And this often signifies bad weather on the way.

Today, there was close to ONE HUNDRED birds! Hopefully that doesn’t translate to ten times the bad weather!

(Note: The photo is an older one, a Tasmanian Yellow-Tailed Black Cockatoo. The Victorian ones are very similar.)
