I found out today that Joan Lamond passed away in March, almost reaching 100. Joan was a keen mineral collector, and particularly with respect to micromounts, and also gypsum.
I was the lucky recipient of Joan’s micro collection back in 2008 and I am still going through it.
This specimen is one of the 4,000 or so micros, and fittingly, also has gypsum crystals on it.
