Overnight and during the day today, we’ve received a bit over 21mm of rain. Fairly heavy at times overnight, but fine misty drizzle the rest of the time. Not a good day for generating solar power!

But this morning’s walk around Lake Esmond was very pleasant, if not a little damp. The sound of rushing water coming down from the small upper body of water (see video below) all but drowned out a tuneful butcherbird high up in the eucalypts.

Not so for the waterbirds a little further along (see second video below).
