Victoria has gone one further than declaring a State of Emergency (that we have had for a few months already). Today the government declared a State of Disaster. This is serious.

Emergency measures have been required due the lack of control over Covid in Victoria. Significant issues have arisen through community transmission, particularly in Melbourne. A number of people have not been doing the right thing (including going to work when confirmed positive!) and thus more restrictions for all of us.

From tonight, Metro Melbourne is in Stage 4, including a nighttime curfew, and a limit to travel up to 5km from home (except in certain circumstances).

So from Thursday, in regional Victoria, we are back in Stage 3 restrictions, for a period of 6 weeks. That takes us back to the same restrictions that we were under a few months ago.

Stay safe. Stay home. If you are out, wear a mask.
