When you pay a premium for a service, even under the current circumstances, you expect to get some value for your money.
Fedex are not my favourite people at the moment. I got a text stating that my package would be delivered yesterday. Then a second text saying there was a delay and they would get back to me with updates.
No updates.
The online tracking information suggested the package would arrive today. But it didn’t. Apparently, it is stuck in Singapore. As I want to be here when it arrives, I asked if I would indeed get updates. Yes. When the driver has it. So that could be ANY day.
The premium for this service was an additional US$40, over and above standard mail. For that, you expect better.
Oh, and on their website, they state: “To continue providing our customers with the best possible service during this time, we are implementing a temporary surcharge on all FedEx Express international parcel and freight shipments beginning April 6, 2020.”
So, any value that I was getting has diminished even more.
Not particularly happy. And I doubt that I will use their service again.
